Formulas and calculations to work out timber sizes, areas and how to price timber mouldings and profiles. Also covered in this section are timber preservation and how timber is strength graded.

• Arbordeck
On completion of this module the student will gain a deeper understanding of timber decking, Arbordeck products and profiles such as deck boards, caps and handrails, newel posts, spindles and the preservative treatment process used in the production of Arbordeck products.

Each module is designed to take about an hour to complete and is enhanced with graphics and video clips. Each module can be allocated, viewed and progress monitored by Operational Managers.

The academy is aimed at both Arbor Forest Products internal staff and external customer’s employees who can access the academy at their place of work, at home or any location wifi enabled.

Upon successful completion of the course the student is awarded a RIBA accredited certificate and qualification.
